Priyan Fernando

Founder

Priyan is a highly qualified Commercial Finance professional, who has over 15 years’ experience across various industries ranging from construction, property development & asset management, logistics, manufacturing, and professional services. Having graduated from the University of Melbourne, Priyan is also a professional member of CPA Australia and CIMA UK and is recognized as a qualified Accountant. He then went onto complete his MBA through Macquarie Business School in 2019.

Priyan has held various senior roles across a wide variety of companies ranging from large global corporates to ASX listed companies to family businesses and small & medium sized companies. Priyan’s main strength lies in being able to create and protect value across businesses by delivering strategic financial planning and CFO advisory. Priyan’s diverse experience has helped business owners in translating business goals to a clear strategic plan that can be communicated across all stakeholders.

Nicholas Garland

Director
LLB / BCom Hon (Accounting), CPA, NTAA Fellow, SMSF Auditor

Nicholas is a senior accounting and advisory professional with over two decades of experience spanning taxation, strategic business advisory and artificial intelligence. He has held leadership roles within both international and boutique firms, including Deloitte, EY and Klear Picture, before joining Metrix Advisory in 2025.

Nicholas brings extensive expertise in virtual CFO services, business performance improvement, and complex financial reporting heavily focused on utilization of large language models and creative AI. His portfolio of work includes supporting clients across logistics, property and construction and technology. He has advised organizations at every stage of their lifecycle, from emerging startups to established international multi-entity groups.

At Metrix Advisory, Nicholas leads the firm’s Business Services and Fractional CFO Division’s, with a focus on delivering precision, insight, and sustainable value creation using Artificial Intelligence. His approach integrates technical excellence with commercial acumen, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions that support long-term growth and strategic decision making.
